According to the conference, Binhai Chemical Industrial Park is one of the eight functional areas for pushing for the development of Binhai New Area. It is of great significance to well devise the Overall Plan for Binhai Chemical Industrial Park in terms of realizing the functional position of Binhai and building it into a high-level petrochemical industrial park. With nearly a century of history, Tianjin’s petrochemical industry plays a crucial role in the development of local economy, further supported by multiple favorable conditions and comprehensive advantages like unique location, market, talents and industrial clustering. The construction of Binhai Chemical Industrial Park shall be guided by the outlook of scientific development, the concept of cyclic economy and the goal of building Binhai into a first-class base for modern manufacturing and R&D transfer. According to the plan, it will take about a decade to establish an effective petrochemical ecological and cyclic economic industrial system with unique features, and develop the park into an important industrial functional area supporting the development of Binhai, as well as an environmental-friendly petrochemical base at the state level capable of sustainable development.
